The Birth Day
Once the big day arrives, we will be there when you need us and
admittance into the birth center is based upon an individual basis.
You and your midwife will decide when it is time for you to be
admitted. Once you arrive, you will have your choice of two elegant
birth suites each complete with private bath, a queen size bed,
and a Jacuzzi tub. There will be no change of shifts, and the
midwife you start your labor with, will stay with you for the
duration. You and the baby will be monitored, while offering support
and natural laboring techniques including the use of the labor
tub, which we call our "natural epidural".

Families Beginning Together
We believe that partners, family, and friends play an integral
role in the new family, whether in welcoming a first baby or fourth.
We encourage active participation for those important support
people by providing a family room environment in the lobby, a
comfortable sitting area in the birth suite, as well as a kitchenette
complete with microwave and toaster oven. We invite them to make
themselves at home while awaiting the arrival of the newest addition.
Frequently, dads help us to "catch" the baby and many women choose
to labor in the water due to the pain relieving qualities of the
water. Also, siblings often enjoy witnessing the birth of "their
baby".

When the baby is born, we keep the new family together. We will carefully
observe both you and the baby and when it comes time to examine the
baby we will do it right beside you.
During the postpartum period we will see you for a home visit 24 hours
after the birth and schedule several more at our office to help you
with your new adjustment to having a new little one.
